R34 Websites Compared on Video, Search and Age Rules
R34 websites we recommend are Rule34.xxx, Rule34video, Rule 34 World, Rule34Gen and Reddit's r/rule34, because the published rules of each, Reddit's sitewide Rule 4 in the case of r/rule34, ban sexual content involving minors. The five differ in how search finds video and in what premium costs. Rule 34 World sells premium for cryptocurrency only, from $14 for three months. Rule 34 Paheal searches by length but stays off our list, and I found no rules on Rule34.us.
Rule 34 Websites Compared on Video Tools and Rules on Minors
On October 26, 2026 I read the terms, help pages and counters each rule 34 website in the table publishes, and the table notes the pages that would not load.

Among the sources of rule 34 videos here, only Rule34.xxx and Rule34video publish video counters, which add up to 872,315 entries, though the same clip can appear on both. Both sites pass the listing rule in our editorial policy. Rule 34 World and Rule34Gen pass it on the wording of their terms, and r/rule34 passes it through Reddit's Rule 4.
Rule 34 Paheal judges a character by appearance, a test Reddit's Rule 4 also uses, but then exempts non-human drawings and allows fakes of actors in character, which keeps it off our list. Rule34.us fails because I found no rules to check.
Rule 34 Paheal Search and Its Two Caveats
Only Rule 34 Paheal, among the sites here, documents a numeric length search. Its length metatag takes length>=1h for videos of an hour or longer, and a bare number, as in length>=10000, counts milliseconds.
Rule 34 Paheal runs on Shimmie, version 2.12.6 in a build dated October 21, 2026, software "based on the Danbooru concept." Video carries the webm, mp4, animated and sound tags. Other metatags filter by size, ratio, file extension, score, upload date and uploader, and order=score_desc sorts by votes. The tag filter lives in your profile and in cookies, with a warning from the FAQ: "Don't go berserk filtering a ton of tags."
Rule 34 Paheal requires an account to upload or vote. Its terms ask users to be 18 or 21, depending on where they live, and DMCA notices go to [email protected].
Two rules keep Paheal off our list. Rule 1.5 judges a character by appearance whatever the official age, then adds "Non-human drawings are exempt." Rule 15 says "Do not post fakes (photomanipulations) of actors, unless they are in character." Paheal's 2257 page claims no "Actual human beings" appear on the site. AI posts must carry the tag "AI-generated," and the rules were last revised on May 14, 2026.
Rule 34 World Premium, Paid in Crypto
Rule 34 World charges $14 for three months of premium or $50 for a year, and states "We accept payments in cryptocurrency only." The $5 monthly plan is listed but marked "not available due to payment system restrictions." Rule 34 World, or r34 world, names its creator as Sieghard, the name that signs its announcements.
- Premium adds a blacklist and post filter of up to 20 tags, subscriptions to up to 400 tags and an ad-free view.
- The free tier runs ads, the terms forbid ad blockers, and sign-up needs an email, a password and a checkbox confirming you are at least 18.
- The terms ban "any photograph, drawing, or movie that depicts children in a sexual manner."
- DMCA requests go through a contact form, and the site says "We usually respond within 1-5 business days."
Announcements dated July 17 to September 12 list a Shuffle mode, an app-style view, a report tool and polls, along with an outage on August 13 when "every single site suddenly went down without any warning." Only the "Dev Update: September 2026" post shows a year.
Open R34 WebsitesRule34Gen and Rule 34 AI Video
Rule34Gen is two projects under one name. Rule34gen.com is where Rule34video's homepage sends the AI video it no longer accepts, while rule34gen.video is a paid generator that makes rule 34 ai clips from text or images.
Where AI uploads go
Rule34video's homepage says "Please upload it here instead rule34gen.com." The rule34gen.com terms ban "any photograph or drawing or movie that depicts children in a sexual manner" and close the site to minors. An urlquery.net scan from April 22, 2026 logged three traffic-distribution detections.
A paid generator
rule34gen.video plans cost $12.49 a month for 145 credits, $24.99 for 390 and $49.99 for 975. Clips longer than 6 seconds need a subscription, and the pricing page says results stay for 7 days without one. Refunds apply within 24 hours if no credit was spent.
Adults only, real people by consent
The rule34gen.video terms, updated August 28, 2026, ban any "person whose adulthood is unclear" and any "adult presented as a minor," fiction and animation included. Real people may appear only as adults who consent. "Consent cannot be inferred from a relationship, a previous recording, public availability," the terms add.
AI on the boorus
Rule34.xxx counted 3,570,819 ai_generated posts on October 26, 2026, 22.2% of the site, and caps AI uploads at 100 a day. Rule 34 Paheal requires the "AI-generated" tag on anything partly AI-made.
A podcast on iVoox from September 20, 2025 called rule34gen.com "Rule34video's AI spin-off," a claim I could not confirm, and the only link I found between Rule34video and rule34gen.com is Rule34video's upload notice.
Reddit's r/rule34 and Rule 4
Reddit's r/rule34, named after the rule 34 maxim, falls under Reddit Rule 4, which bans sexual content involving minors or "someone who appears to be a minor." The help center adds "We generally prohibit fantasy or fictional content" that sexualizes them. The community's own rules page would not load for me.
- Age. Reddit accounts start at 13, or 16 in Australia, and mature content is open only to users 18 and over.
- Web. Log in, open Settings and switch on "Show mature (18+) content" under Preferences.
- iPhone. The toggle was removed from the iOS app "Due to Apple requirements," so set it on the web and restart the app.
- Android. Settings, View Options, then "Show NSFW Content (I'm over 18)."
- UK. Reddit asks for a birthdate and may confirm age through an Apple account or a Persona selfie or ID check.
Reddit updated its Rule 4 article on October 1, 2026. The UK article dates from June 24, 2026. The NSFW setting follows the account, so a shared or work phone signed in to the same account shows the same mature feed.
R34 Sites Left Off Our List
Rule34.us (rule 34 us) and Rule34.com (rule 34.com) both fail our checks.
Rule34.us runs Gelbooru 0.1.11 and reported 13,614,708 posts on October 26, 2026. Its help section covers search syntax, with OR written as {tag1 ~ tag2}, and offers a DMCA form, yet nothing in it reads as terms of service or content rules. The homepage shows no age gate, and sign-up asks for no age confirmation. On Trustpilot, 8 reviews averaged 2.4 stars, and a review from June 7, 2026 describes pressure to buy premium and unexpected charges.
Rule34.com was registered on May 15, 2006. An urlscan.io capture from October 25, 2026 shows a page titled "Free Live Adult Webcams | Rule34," while StatsCrop marked the domain a "Forsale Lander" a day earlier, so the two sources disagree on what it is for. Rule34video.io, registered on May 30, 2024 according to urlert, is flagged there as "Suspicious," Gridinsoft lists rule34.video as a parked domain, and neither has a link to Rule34video that I could establish. Bookmark the addresses you trust and type them yourself.

The rule34.xxx length tags run from longer_than_5_seconds, on 170 posts, to longer_than_1_hour, on 14.
R34 Websites Questions
What sites are like Rule34video?
Rule34.xxx is the closest match among the sites I checked, because the 537,617 video posts it held on October 26, 2026 can be narrowed with longer_than length tags, much as Rule34video narrows clips by duration. Rule34video's own notice sends AI uploads to rule34gen.com, and Rule 34 World and r/rule34 also pass our rule on minors.
Which R34 website has the most posts?
Among the sites that show a total, Rule34.xxx does, with a counter reading 16,109,255 posts on October 26, 2026. Rule34.us shows 13,614,708, but I found no rules on it. Rule34video counts videos instead of posts and listed 334,698, while Rule 34 Paheal and Rule 34 World show no total on the pages I read.
Can I pay for R34 sites with a card?
Not on Rule 34 World, which accepts cryptocurrency only. Rule34.xxx sells no plan and points supporters to a Patreon thread. The rule34gen.video generator lists its prices in US dollars, from $12.49 a month, though its pages do not say which payment methods it takes, and Rule34video's homepage shows no paid plan.
Are R34 websites safe to open?
Safety varies by site. Rule34video's homepage loads several ad-network links, and an urlquery.net scan flagged traffic-distribution activity on rule34gen.com in April 2026. PCRisk rated rule34video.com low risk, at 76 out of 100, on October 22, 2026. A Trustpilot review from June 2026 complains about unexpected premium charges on Rule34.us.
Do R34 websites work in the UK?
It depends on the site. Since July 25, 2025, Ofcom has required highly effective age assurance from porn services in scope of the Online Safety Act, and a self-declared age does not qualify. Rule34.xxx announced checks where required on May 8, 2026, while Rule 34 World's sign-up relies on an 18+ checkbox.
